REAL WEDDING - AWESOME LAST MINUTE WEDDING IN KENT – LAURA AND DAN

When Laura and Dan first got in touch with me about their wedding, I was so thrilled – they were planning the most fun traditional wedding with an intimate ceremony and a lovely meal with friends and family for the reception - in 6 weeks time - They were planning for Freedom Day - or what was to be known as freedom day, when everyone in England lifted restrictions - and allowed everyone out so to speak! Little did we realise that no matter if Freedom day was happening, Laura and Dan were still getting hitched!

The wedding

The wedding took place at St Augustines, Westgate on Sea, and was a gorgeous ceremony. They had some beautiful readings; and a socially distant ceremony; but that didn’t put a dampner on the cool vibe of the day. After the ceremony they had a dramatic first kiss, and then everyone headed to the bar - for a socially distant drink.

The wedding reception took place in the very ornate Ruby Room at St Augustines,, which was adorned with stunning cream candelabras, and gorgeous dusty pink bows. It was so gorgeous. Amanda and the team at Thanetian Weddings and Events did a stunning job styling the venue. You can see a before and after in the gallery below.

During the reception they had one of our professional wedding DJs - Steven; which made the reception really chilled. For dinner they had a buffet, and it was absolutely delicious. Afterwards, the couple cut the wedding cake and our covid-19 compliant DJ played ambient music to keep the guests entertained. What a great night was had by all!
