REAL WEDDING - ST AUGUSTINES, WESTGATE ON SEA, KENT – DANIELLE AND STEVE

Danielle and Steve got married in the summer at the beautiful St Augustines, which is a fancy venue in Westgate On Sea, Kent. It was the most beautiful wedding and the sun shone all day long!

Getting ready

Danielle got ready in the bridal suite with her fabulous friends and family, and the atmosphere was so calm. The wedding party then walked together to get to the ceremony. When Danielle and her Bridal Party arrived at the foot of the chapel, all of the guests stood and there were a lot of tears. Steve got ready at home, and made his way with his family to the wedding. Steve's face when he first saw Daisy their little girl, and then when he saw Danielle, was so heartwarming.

The vows

The ceremony was an intimate service in the truly stunning chapel. The couple chose a red carpet aisle, and Daisy sprinkled petals as she walked down. During the ceremony they had a beautiful reading. It was so meaningful and a real tear-jerker. The followed up with a gorgeous first kiss, with everyone applauding! Then some confetti cannons as they headed out into the cocktail hour.

The afternoon

The reception was in the Ruby Room at the venue. They chose St Augustines because it’s near their home and they just love it there. It was a Red themed wedding, which had so many special touches. I love shooting St Augustines weddings because the grounds are just incredible. When we add Love Letters, and a sweet cart it just adds so much more party atmosphere.

They had a drinks reception in the afternoon, and one of our open style photo booths in the evening. They decorated the venue with lego flowers and lots of daisies, because of their daughter - Daisy.

For dinner they had a buffet, which was so yummy. Everyone hit the sweet cart and the photo booth. The first dance included a shower of confetti, and they finished off the evening with a ‘last dance’. that was absolutely fantastic; everyone got involved, and packed the dance floor.

The best part of the day was the dancing, because it made everyone laugh. Our DJ got everyone on the floor showing off their moves. They also did the bouquet toss during the party – it was brilliant fun! Our DJ even played Beyonce's Single Ladies!

The couple

The couple met via a popular mobile app and have been together for years. They got in touch with me the year before and their enquiry was so fun. They said they wanted a relaxed wedding, and I thought it was awesome that they just wanted to party. We totally loved Danielle & Steve's Wedding - the special touches that they made throughout the day, their personalities and the vibe of the party.
